AI art, no longer a place for humans?
I've been browsing deviantart lately after a long absence and noticed around 80% of th art i see here is AI art. Then i go to the comment section and i see Ai generated comment responses i can use, i scroll down and i see some people have actually used some of them. So a machine generates art and a machine comments on it. How ironic is that? 8 out of 10 new deviants sugested are AI prompters. It gives me the feeling that there is no longer a place for human art here. It's quite lonely coming here seeing everything machine made, almost like i am in the matrix or some alternate universe governed by machines. From the people i watch i see many journals of people leaving for other sites and i am sure many left but did not make a journal about it. When i joined, it was the human interaction that made me want to come back again and again and ultimately become a better artist. I am thinking of the new artists who just begun their journey how this feels for them right now. If anyone wants
My art was removed bc of a copyright complaint
So apparently all my "lord of the rings" art was removed from dA because of of a DMCA takedown notice filed by none other than Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. I see there are still plenty of fanarts of LOTR on dA and i don't understand why mine was specifically targeted. And why would they even go and remove a piece of fanart sitting on dA, i mean, it was just on display, i made no money off of it. Some of those drawings were made 6 years ago. 6 years ago! Now they decide to take my art down? So, we're like not allowed to draw fanart anymore? Why is there even a FANART category on dA if we're not allowed to draw any fanart. Is that some sort of trap? Submit your fanart here, then NOOO take down that evil fanart you drew illegally! Dude like WTF man. I am shocked. Art thief alert: Fredrik Persson
Yet another case of art thief public shaming. I usually don't make a fuss when people just repost my art but this one got me really pissed off and let me tell you why. The drawing in question was this one i posted yesterday (see below). And the thief took it, removed my watermark, mirrored ir and posted it on reddit here https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/ae5hn5/kebos_lowlands_konar_fanart/ Now what pissed me off was that people started asking him if his commissions are open and he said yes, so basically he lures people with my art and then scams them maybe doesn't even deliver any art, or gives his own art. I cannot let my art be used to scam people, this has gone too far. And then taint my name when the commissioner doesn't get what he wanted. People recognized my art and called him out so he erased the reddit post but i did some digging and found his artstation where i sent him a message. dA? and East European Comic Con
Oh hi everyone!
Just a heads up that i will be attending this year's East European Comic Con as well. I'll have stickers and posters and all sorts of stuff so if you're going then don't hesitate to drop by.
Off topic but is dA really and i mean reaaaaaally quiet lately? Like, what's going on? I know the website was taken over by another website, but i haven't noticed any changes since then except that it's just getting quieter and i see many artists have deactivated their accounts. Did i miss anything?

This is probably late, and you might be back on track already, but when I have a problem with coming up with designs. I try to blend different things together.
I look for inspiration in other ways external to just artwork. I try to let my mind wander, and focus on whatever random thing that comes into view.
I think Art Block comes when you're trying too hard to create and not allowing yourself the absolutely vital need to just play. I hope this helps and all is well!
