White Harpie by Yuuza White Harpie by Yuuza
And another drawing from my sketchbook :D this time it's a sort of harpie, the mask symbolizes a bird beak, i hope you like it
it took me 2 hours to draw and 30 min to edit in photoshop. I used mechanical pencils to draw it on an A4 paper, you can see most of my tools in the photo :D:D

Okay.. been a while since I last did a critique so here goes nothing.

I'll start with the subject of the drawing itself, this beautiful little Harpie. Very nice proportioning, amazing attention to detail on her feathers, her hair looks almost as if it's actually being blown in the wind! Her face is also especially striking, her eyes practically drew me in immediately with their soft yet sharp, almost predatory focus. Her lips look like they were taken straight from a monochrome photograph due to the clarity of detail on them! Another very well done portion of the drawing was her gown or dress which, while for the most part hidden, you took the necessary time, however long it may have been for you, to give the material tangibility and depth.

I really can't say much about the background other than that it is simplistic but effective in highlighting the main focus of the image.

Hopefully you find this critique helpful or at the very least encouraging.

I  love the background effect, how do you add the color in your pictures? With ps or with watercolor? *.* I'll definitive try this on my own someday, it looks amazing. Great Work! And oh my the feathers are so detailed and awesome. Wow. ^^
Because you request critique: One small thing I think is odd is that the mask doesn't seem to have anything that holds it in place. But that's just a small detail. And I think the right eye should be a tiny little bit smaller with the nose and brow in the way... hope that helps~
